At CheckOutMyFriend™ anyone can join. Whether you’re single and looking to suss out potential dates, or whether you want to add your single mate and tell NZ how great they are!

Everyone on-line at CheckOutMyFriend™ has been described by a friend as a pretty good sort, – and they’re single too!

Everything published first has to be approved first by the single person, so nothing will go live without their go-ahead.

There’s no prudes here, but we’re not into the filth of lots of other tacky sites. All photos and written content is checked by us here at COMF HQ. All this makes it safer, and when the singles on-line are recommended by friends there’s way less chance of them being raging polygamists!

How does the site work?

How do you talk yourself up and seem half-pie attractive without sounding like a bit of a knob or worse, just plain boring? COMF is all about our mates talking us up and not having to do it ourselves. Oh, and the single person has to agree with the description before it goes live on the website. Trust us when someone else describes you, it makes for a much more interesting read!

After you’ve registered, both friends have login details so you can both search through the other singles profiles on-line. Your friend will be able to search for any potential suitors and recommend them to you. And when you’re listed on the site no one can tell from looking at your profile if you initiated your registration, yourself, or a friend put you up to it. Phew!

Firstly, we recommend that you check with your single friend, and let them know that you’re keen to help out. Once you’ve signed up your friend, they will receive an email explaining how it works, and letting them know that you want to tell NZ what a cracking good sort they are. They just have to approve your description. If your friend isn’t keen, then they can say no. If they’re up for it, then they can add comments to what you’ve already written, and upload a photo.

After successfully joining, you’ll be able to help with the matchmaking too.

With your own private login details, and a personal ‘Homepage’ where you can help suggest other members to your friend as would-be-potentials.

If you’re single, you can sign up as well. You can be a wingman for as many single friends as you like.

I’m single so how do I get started?

Easy. You just need to add in a few personal details and choose a good friend to describe you. (We recommend that you give your friend the heads up first!) An e-mail will be sent to your friend asking for their help to describe you. You then approve what they’ve written, upload/change a photo and voila, it’s all sorted! People will never know who initiated the sign-up process as on-line all the profiles look the same. It doesn’t matter anyway as the key feature is that everyone is described by their friends!
You will also be able to:

• Add any other single friends to the COMF network
• Recommend any potential dates to your online single friends
• Manage your photos & account settings
• Add potential dates to ‘my favourites’
• Message people (when you have ‘the works’ membership plan)

When do we start paying for memberships?

Members who sign up prior to 1st February 2011 will receive ‘The Works’ membership free till 1st May 2011 to say thanks and recognise their loyalty.

Members who sign up from the 1st February 2011 will receive a 1 month ‘The works’ membership free until we reach 500 members.

After 500 members people will be able to choose their membership plan when they sign up.

When a membership is due to expire we’ll send you a reminder notice.

If you decide not to re-subscribe your profile will automatically revert to a free membership.

What does it cost and who pays?

At COMF the single can pay, or if a friend is signing up a single mate they have the option to pay also.
