We appreciate that in order for you to deem our services credible we need to let you know how we'll manage your information. We will ensure that all captured information about you is kept private until when/if you decide to divulge any personal information to other users.

What information do we collect and how do we use it?
- Private information that you or your friend submit
- You, will submit personal details (or as the case may be, your friend who registers you on COMF may submit both parties personal details). This information is used firstly to verify your identity as a bona fide user of COMF and to help fulfil your wishes of networking and socialising with other members.
- Your contact information is mandatory information needed for COMF to provide the services to you. This information is stored on our server and in our secure database at our head office. Both systems have built in security and are not available to unauthorised persons. Your private information will never be disclosed or sold to any other party and will never be disclosed on the COMF website without your express consent. If COMF does not receive your express written consent within seven days, the information supplied by your friend will be deleted from the COMF information system.
- Information that is entered on your profile (live on website)
- You or your friend may provide a description about you. Before this goes 'live' on the COMF website you will read and approve/disapprove of the description given. Nothing will go live on the COMF website without your prior approval. This description about yourself is designed to help you to meet new people to connect with. Once you have approved your profile to go live on the website, the information about you should be considered public as any internet user can conceivably access this information. If you select 'show my photos to anyone' your profile or photo may also appear in other related information on the COMF website. Information collected is designed to help us to minimise the ability for someone to identify you. It is your responsibility to control the extent of information you provide on your COMF profile which in turn helps us to ensure your privacy is protected.
- We provide options to allow you to restrict visibility of your profile and visibility of any photos you upload on the website.
- Financial information you provide us
- In order to become a 'premium member' where you are able to access unlimited messaging with other users you are required to pay subscription fees. Therefore, you (or your friend) must provide us with financial information such as your credit card number. This information will be passed immediately to our payment provider via a secure link. Your credit card details are not retained on our database.
- Messages you send to other members
- COMF provides facilities to allow you to send private messages to other members. These messages are private and only visible to the chosen recipient. COMF reserves the right to read any of your messages where we receive complaints from the recipient regarding a message or have reason to believe that you are in breach of our Terms and Conditions. In all other instances, these messages remain totally private.
- Messages you send to customer support
- Messages you send to our customer support team and/or management are private between you and us.
- Do we use Cookies?
- Yes. Cookies are small amounts of information stored on your hard drive that help you navigate around the site or save you from having to enter information you may have entered previously. For example, when you sign in as a registered user, a cookie is stored on your computer so that we can recognise you as a registered user and allow you access to features on our website. You do not have to accept cookies, however this will create more work for you. Most browsers these days are set up to automatically accept cookies but yours can be set up so that it will not. - Yes. We collect information on the usage of the COMF website, such as pages visited and most popular pages. This helps us determine what you as a customer are most interested in and we can tailor our services to meet your requirements. We do NOT share this information with any third parties.
- Changes to your personal information
- Your personal information is available on-line for you to view and amend with our on-line administration function. Once you are logged into the site, please click on the 'Change My Details' link next to your login name (above the top search bar). You will be emailed any changes you have made to your contact details. Please contact us if you have any questions about your personal information on our site.
- Our management and protection of your personal information
- We will take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This will include using virus protection, firewalls, secure servers, login and password identification, and encryption for online payments.
- Your personal information will be stored with us so long as you are a member or continue to use our website. Once you are no longer a member, we will retain your records for up to 1 year in order to respond to any complaints or queries you may have. After this time, we will delete, destroy or de-identify your personal information from our records, except for any information we are required by law to keep, e.g. for tax purposes.

- At times we may promote the use of third party websites. If you click on a link you may be redirected to another website whose privacy policies may differ from our own. We do not endorse the websites of any third parties.
- We recommend that you familiarise yourself with the privacy policies of any such third party websites.
- Email communication
- We use your email address during the registration process so we can send you your login and password details. It also allows us to operate our advertised services. This includes sending you emails relating to our services, notifications of messages from other members and other related updates.
- Your email address is always kept private from other members on the COMF website. If another member messages you via the COMF website (depending on your settings) we may inform you that you have a message to the e-mail address that you registered with. Your e-mail address always stays private even if you decide to message another member via the COMF site.
- COMF may send you e-mails or newsletters relating to your membership, or for promoting other products to you. These communications will contain a clear 'opt out' option so you can unsubscribe at anytime.
- Security of your username, login, and password
- You are responsible for ensuring the security of your username, email address and password. If you disclose this information to third parties, then you are solely responsible for any misuse of that information. COMF will never ask you for your username, email address or password by email.
